From Madrid, Paris, Tel Aviv, to Berlin, Spanish company Kor’sia stages a unique creation at Morlacchi Theatre in Perugia. Set on a tennis court, the performance engages with past and present, reinterpreting classical dance. Derived from Russo/Rosa’s earlier work, “Jeux/Nijinsky,” the production delves into Nijinsky’s creative process.

Kor’sia values visual elements, subtly incorporating them into “Igra.” The audience encounters a collage of significant references, akin to the music echoing Russian dance rhythms and Chopin’s notes. The show offers a fresh perspective on Nižinskij’s “Jeux” and Ballets Russes’ repertoire, featuring two exceptional witnesses: sculptures reminiscent of Canova, silently preserving epochs, styles, and evolving works.
