East of the center of Perugia is the Parco del Monte Subasio. Nothing like the tranquility of nature! Exploring for more natural attractions, you can travel a little northeast of Perugia and you will find the Riserva Naturale di Monte Cucco. This park is located about 60 km from Perugia and is host to a variety of wild animals, such as deer, wild boar and eagles. There are also several hiking trails in the park, which offer impressive views of the nearby mountains. Hiking, camping or fishing are some of the activities you can enjoy in this park. You can also visit the Grotta di Monte Cucco. It is one of the largest cave systems in Italy, with a total length of more than 30 kilometers.
